Lets talk plants and fibres!
Learn weaving techniques and how to process native plants
We’ll try our hands at rope making, palm frond basketry and a handful of weaving practices!
Set up in our outdoor undercover workshop space,
you’re able to enjoy the bird song, the breeze through the trees,
or the peace of a rainy day while your hands get busy creating and your mind goes quiet

Cost is $30 per person, and covers fibres and tuition
All are Welcome to join, including men and children with supervision

Yarrawarra means “Happy Meeting Place” and we certainly love to have wonderful big gatherings as often as possible!
Our Public Programs include Art & Craft workshops during the School Holidays and our “Basket Cases” Monthly Weaving Circle
We also have a range of Cultural Activities available to book privately all year round!
The Wadjar Regional Indigenous Gallery shows six Indigenous Art Exhibitions every year and run three big annual events: Mother Spirit Woman’s Gathering, Dream On Arts and Music Festival and our big NAIDOC Community Day
