Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre is nestled in an amazing diverse and rich environment. The bird life, animals and plants abound and invite you to walk among them. To help you really understand the beauty of what you are seeing we can offer bush tucker, tasting and cultural tours, weaving the traditions of our people and the history of this land into the landscapes of flora and fauna allowing you to experience our natural landscapes in a way that you will never forget.

We do need minimum numbers to run our tours so bring a group and enjoy. Listen to the story of how the Brolga learned to dance as you walk through the wetlands walkway, watch the flitting of birds that are almost extinct, taste the edible coastal plants and fruits, immerse yourself in the beauty, the history, the wildlife and be present.

Bring a picnic blanket and soak up the peaceful surrounds, coffee and cake available from the Bush Tucker Cafe.  Browse the gallery and read the stories in our “Keeping Place”.  If you are lucky someone might pick up a Yidaki and roll out a tune or you might catch one of our regional artists painting on site.

Schools, Probus Clubs, Rotary Clubs, Bird watchers and other groups can obtain special group packages designed for their specific needs and interests by our friendly and professional staff.

Maybe you would like to learn about the local Aboriginal culture? Learn how to weave native grasses and have a delicious morning tea? We offer a wide range of cultural activities, from bush tucker & medicine walks, traditional weaving, painting, boomerang painting and throwing, ceramics and even traditional cultural healing practices.
